3.5x Growth in Cumulative Revenue
21 September 2015, Bangalore: We are pleased to release our first 2015 Impact Report. Our portfolio companies have grown impact by 4.6x since last year, with 470,891 “BoP” (base of economic pyramid) lives touched across 20 states in India, as of July 1 2015. From a financial perspective, our portfolio has received 2.23 times our seed capital in follow-on investments, and achieved 3.5x cumulative revenue growth. Our still-young portfolio companies are transforming lives via solutions that include medical care for BoP patients, business improvements for BoP kirana owners and employment for BoP college students, and low-cost education for rural children.
As of July 1 2015, our portfolio has grown to a total of 17 companies, with education and healthcare sectors being the most represented. Nearly all of them are quite young, with a future of expansion and success ahead of them. It’s through our growing portfolio and extended network of advisors, investors and other ecosystem players that we get closer and closer to our goal of achieving sustainable and scalable impact in India.
