Impact Investing Showcase Features Leading Global Fund Managers that Deliver Social, Environmental and Financial Returns

28 October, 2015. Seattle, WA – Capria Ventures has been selected for the ImpactAssets 50 2015 (IA 50). The IA 50, now in its fifth year, is the first publically available database of private debt and equity impact investment fund managers. Capria has made it to this exclusive list in its first year of eligibility.

Capria Ventures manages two ventures: Unitus Ventures, India’s leading seed-stage impact venture fund, and Capria Accelerator, the first global business accelerator for impact fund managers. Capria turns three this year, and is already deeply entrenched in the growing interconnected network of impact investing. Capria is recognized in the IA 50 alongside Elevar Equity and Unitus Impact, both firms that notably have Unitus alumni on their team.

“We have benefited greatly from the support provided by Unitus and our colleagues at Elevar Equity, Unitus Impact, and Unitus Capital,” said Dave Richards, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Capria Ventures LLC. “This support enabled us to raise our first $23 million impact fund from a group of leadership global investors and to get our fund operating platform up and running at a world-class level in a shorter period of time.”

The ImpactAssets 50 showcase includes a range of funds spanning diverse issue areas and investment, with demonstrated and compelling social and environmental impact. Fund managers included in the IA 50 2015 manage a combined $13.6 billion in assets devoted to creating measurable, positive impact. In order to be considered for the IA 50 2015, fund managers needed to have at least $10 million in assets under management and more than 3 years of experience as a firm with impact investing. The IA 50 selection committee is chaired by ImpactAssets’ Chief Impact Strategist, Jed Emerson, and includes experts from The CAPROCK Group, Toniic, UBS and Blue Haven Initiative.
