Unitus Ventures is going on the road in India visiting 6 cities over the next 4 months targeting to invest up to 7 crore in 5 startups.
India’s most active seed-stage impact investor is going on the road. Why? Because we want to meet more great entrepreneurs in more parts of India. Chapters of our 40+ Venture Advisor group recently started in Delhi and Mumbai in addition to Bangalore. We also recently launched partnerships with multiple startup-friendly professional services firms (Catapult Partners) who are eager to offer their services to startups across India. We’ll be announcing our first investment in the West of India soon.
To get things rolling, we’ve set ourselves the goal to invest up to 7 crore ($1.1M) across 6 cities in the best 5 startups we can find over the next 4 months (April-July). 7-6-5-4 is our goal, and we’re asking you to help us find the right entrepreneurs to invest in.
On our roadshow we will provide opportunities:
- To meet directly with our decision makers. One of our investing partners (Srikrishna, Will, or Dave) will be in each city to meet with entrepreneurs who have the strongest plans and operations.
- For 1-on-1 meetings with our investment team. We recently published tips on How to Prepare A Dream Pitch. Practice your pitch and test it on our team.
- To join informal hangouts. We want to experience the pulse of the local startup ecosystem throughout India. We’ll be hanging out at co-working spaces and coffee shops to chat about trends, share what we know about new opportunities, and, most importantly, learn from you.
- To offer insights and feedback. As investors focused exclusively on the seed-stage, we see lots of young companies, some winners, and some struggling. We’ve collected a few tips that we want to share with you.
